* requires a patch test 48 hours prior to appointment. Will need a new patch test if you have started new medication, or new vaccinations as these can affect your tolerance to certain products used. Please note that patch tests are valid for 6 months. After this time has lapsed a new patch test is required. This is for your safety and a requirement for Riniel's Body and Beauty and their insurance. Failure to have a patch test will result in treatment being cancelled, and potentially liable to a cancellation fee.

Below we have added some useful tips and aftercare advice, which you may find useful. It is recommended that you follow these tips and aftercare advice to get the best from your treatment.
To ensure a successful and long lasting waxing appointment, the hairs need to be the correct length. Ideally around 0.5-1cm in length.
Too short and the wax will not be able to adhere itself to the hair, and therefore will not be successfully removed.
Too long, and the hairs risk breaking during the waxing process. Long hairs can also risk getting tangled and knotted within the wax, causing the removal to be extra painful.
Have freshly cleansed skin, removing sweat, oil, make up, or deodorant.
All of these can act as a barrier to the wax, which will prevent adhesion of the wax to the areas being waxed.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine prior to your treatment
Both drinks have dehydrating effects on the body. This can cause the pores to tighten around the hair shaft, making waxing that little bit more painful. In addition they can make the skin more sensitive, causing the treatment to be even more uncomfortable.
It is best to drink plenty of water, keeping your skin , hair and body hydrated.
Avoiding sunbathing and sunbeds at least 24 hours prior to your treatment. This is to prevent the risk of sunburn, and irritation to the skin.
If your skin is burnt, peeling, irritated or dehydrated, your appointment may not be able to go ahead, as waxing can cause more irritation and infection.
Clothing such as dresses, skirts, loose joggers are ideal for post waxing appointments, especially in the summer. For after the wax you want to avoid clothing which is going to cause heat, sweat or friction for 24-48 hours.
This includes underwear - best to wear comfortable pants, rather than lace or silk ones.
This one is particularly important for facial waxing. Whilst retinol is an incredible ingredient, it can cause the skin to become more sensitive to waxing, but also has been know to thin the skin. This can cause frictions, and grazing during the waxing process.
Your practitioner should give you some aftercare advice, however it is not recommended to get waxing done for a minimum of a week after botox.
This is due to increased sensitivity around the area.
Pressure from the waxing application can cause the Botox/filler to migrate from the intended areas.
Due to the administration of Botox and fillers, there is a heightened risk of infection post waxing.
Waxing can cause the botox/fillers to not be as effective.
Some practitioners would recommend waxing prior to Botox/fillers. It is best to seek advice from your practitioner prior to arranging the appointment.
Avoid shaving for at least a week before your appointment. Any closer to your appointment and it will make the removal harder and more painful.
If you are in between waxes or it is your first wax, it is best to wait 2 to 6 weeks to ensure that the hair is long enough.
Please do not attend your waxing appointment after having a fresh tan applied, the wax will remove the tan!
Also it is best to wait 48 hours after a wax appointment, this allows the hair follicles to close properly and prevent the follicles showing up during the tan. Having smooth skin will also allow your tan to glow that little bit more too!
When scheduling your wax appointment there are certain things to keep in mind.
How stressed are you likely to be?
If you are mentally stressed, your body is going to be stressed too!
Also periods! It is perfectly fine to have a wax during your period - we ask that you either use a menstrual cup or a tampon during your appointment.
Just before your period however you are more sensitive in the bikini area, and some may find this more uncomfortable than if they have the wax done after their period.
It is considered safe to have waxing during pregnancy.
A few things to consider for the duration of your pregnancy:
Avoid anything that is going to make the skin warm for 24-48 hours post waxing.
This list includes but is not limited to:
The skin is very sensitive post waxing and is more likely to be at risk of burning/sensitivity to heat after treatment.
The same applies to chlorine environments and the beach.
Please keep this in mind when booking pre holiday appointments.
We appreciate that this can be hard for some.
For 24-48 hours post waxing you want to avoid the skin becoming overly sweaty, but in addition avoid clothing which are going to cause friction.
This increases the risk of extra redness, bacterial infection and ingrown hairs.
Exfoliating not only keeps the dead skin cells at bay, but can also reduce the amount of ingrown hairs.
Ideally scrub before your waxing appointment, and then again 3 days after your appointment.
Don't scrub straight after your wax, as this will be incredibly uncomfortable
Especially with unwashed hands.
For at least 6 hours post treatment, the hair follicles are open and are susceptible to irritation and bacteria .
It is also important to avoid using fragranced products, oils and deodorants after waxing.
After waxing you are more sensitive to burning, it is advised to wear an SPF50, and prevent direct sun exposure.
Brilliant service as always!
Thank you so much Steph always have lovely appointments with you and my pedicure and brows are great! X
Great treatment thank you
Always a pleasure to have treatments by Steph.. Extremely professional and great value service. X
The least painful bikini wax ever. Explained the process and made me feel totally comfortable. Would totally recommend 😀
I had my first appointment with Stéphanie today. I hadn’t been waxed in a long time and had some unpleasant experiences in the past. Prior to the appointment Stéphanies communication and explanations were great. Today Stéph had me feeling so comfortable and we chatted and laughed away whilst I was waxed from top to toe. Felt like we had known each other for more than a couple of hours. Stéph has such a gentle way of working and I can honestly say that it was the most comfortable and least painful waxing experience I have ever had. My next appointment is already in the diary!
Allways very professional and efficient. Highly recommend.
Excellent first class service !
Wonderful treatments. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Good knowledge. Thank you 😊
In a book about looking after mature skin, I read that it is better to invest in a good skin treatment than to buy a jar of a rip-off cream. That is absolutely true if you choose Steph (Riniel's) to have a facial. The result is instantly visible, my skin is much smoother, it has good blood circulation, it is mosurized, plump and radiant. I also had eyebrow waxing and I like the shape of my eyebrows very much. I am sure I will use Steph's advice about the products that she recommended.
I always come out of my treatments feeling relaxed and at peace. Steph is amazing and explains everything and gives loads of advice and tips.
Realy enjoyed my visit v professional 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
